All of our breads and desserts are crafted by hand using only the finest ingredients. We pride ourselves on our "clean label" approach to baking. We use organic flours, fresh Pelugra butter, artisan dark chocolates and real cream.

Ruzica Cuk (Seka to her friends) moved to Illinois in 1993 from Serbia with her husband Dragan and young daughter Mila. With her first taste of American bread, she knew that she wanted to open a bakery that offered traditional European breads made from scratch with no preservatives or artificial additives. She opened our first location in Downtown Champaign in 2005 and then Pekara Bakehouse in 2008 to serve our wholesale customers.We are so grateful to all of our wonderful customers and friends and we look forward to continuing to serve Central Illinois the very best breads and desserts!
